The Master watches from the sidelines, rubbing idly at the blood on his hands.

I grumbled today to explodedteabag that the sound quality on my computer was terrible. Couldn't even hear things from halfway across the room. "That's because your speakers aren't working," she said.

She was right. They weren't working at all. Dead as dead can be. Well, they served me well for year - I don't even remember when I bought them.

So we went over to South Keys with maaseru, went for a bit of a walk, got some things at Staples and then my new Logitech LS11 speaker at Future Shop. It's the plain basic model - which costs a third again as much in Canada as in the U.S., I see. Hmmph.

The first thing I listened to on it was Gareth David-Lloyd singing Take It Like a Bitch, Baby, which sounded quite delicious. Now I'm listening to John Barrowman singing Sunset Boulevard.

What a treat. What a difference speakers make.

So about a month and something ago I signed up for a Doctor Who themed craft swap over at Craftster, a really huge (vast, really) online forum for every kind of craftiness there is. This was my first ever craft swap so I was really excited and I wanted to send some things my partner would really enjoy

Since my swap partner has now received her box of goodies I can post what I sent to her without a threat of her being spoiled.

Title: The Heart of the TARDIS

Summary: The TARDIS finds a new way to communicate with the Doctor - and everyone else.  But her greatest discovery might lead to her biggest disaster.

Warnings: angst, I'd rate this as "teen" due to some graphic descriptions of injuries and mentions of "adult themes."  Spoilers: DW through Planet of the Dead and Torchwood through CoE Day 5

A/N: Please note that I only count what has aired on telly as canon (IE: Books, Radio Plays, Who Cartoons, deleted scenes etc. don't count as canon to me.  Blame it on the fact that I'm in the US and just didn't have the same access to the Whoniverse growing up.)
